Restoring Clarity is considered Out of Network for insurance companies not listed which means that you would pay our $135 fee at the time of service and then we will help you request reimbursement from your health insurance company utilizing your Out Of Network Benefits. It’s easier than you would expect.

Insurance does not currently cover the cost of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Things You Need To Be Aware Of If You Choose To Use Your Mental Health Benefits

Most clients prefer to privately pay for sessions as insurance companies request client records including session notes often for review and require therapist to provide a mental health diagnosis that goes into your permanent medical record. A mental health diagnosis is required or the insurance company will not cover the cost of therapy services. It is common that mental health benefit plans dictate the amount of sessions you are able to receive. Meaning, you may be required to end therapy abruptly due to the terms of your insurance plan which can interfere with your progress.

If you’d like your out-of-network billing to be done for you, Thrizer is an online service that will do all the work for you.

  • I provide you with a superbill each month.
  • You upload it to Thrizer
  • You are sent reimbursement in 7-10 days.
  • Once you meet your deductible, you will
automatically only be charged what your owe (your co-pay) for appointments, while Thrizer covers the
rest and waits for reimbursement for you.

Some Good Questions For Your Insurance Company Are:

When speaking with your insurance provider, you may consider asking the following:

  • What is my out-of-network deductible and has it been met?
  • What is my reimbursement rate for an out-of-network Licensed Professional Counselor for the following CPT codes: 90791 (intake session), 90837 (individual session)?
48 hours advance notice is required: Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you, if you must cancel the appointment for any reason, you are required to notify me of the cancellation at least 48 hours in advance so that the therapy time may be given to another client. My clients have always been very respectful and it is rare that clients cancel. However, due to my current schedule and to support other clients who are on the waiting list who will need enough time to schedule off from work or set up childcare, if you must cancel the appointment for any reason, you are required to notify me at least 48 hours in advance so that therapy time may be given to another client in need.

Since there is always a waiting list, I am able to fill cancellations. If you miss the appointment or cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged $135,  Please note that insurance companies do not cover/reimburse for missed appointments. As a result, these charges are the entire responsibility of the client. I will charge missed appointment on the date of the missed session to the credit card on file.

You may cancel an appointment by calling 314-888-5212 and leaving a voice mail message or sending an email to [email protected]
